We’ve updated how we work combining our meetings and work products to improve how we keep people informed. On our website, HoodResearch.org, we now show our goals and active work areas. This replaces the topics we used to track as trending. Trending topics will be part of our newsletter, The Thinkers Report.

As part of this change we now have a page dedicated to tracking the goals we have established during the month of January. If you were able to join any of our Saturday meetings last month you participated in our goal setting process. This represents the work we wish to accomplish this year. This is in addition to the regular work we do each year as well as anything we will add that is part of our mission. Essentially we now have a system where our members goals can be incorporated into our work process.

Each month this year we will focus on a particular area of interest. For the month of February we will be developing a Black Agenda. This will be a member sourced document to help define the goals and direction of the Black community. Other areas of interest are listed on the goal tracking page. This will be updated as needed based on previous work and the prioritization of needs.

Everyone is welcome to join every Saturday to discuss these topics and take part in the work products which are papers, reports, research studies, advocacy and activities like voter registration.
