Historic Expansion of Benefits for Toxic Exposed Veterans

Signed into law the Pact Act to provide expansion

of benefits and Services for toxic exposed veterans.

Gun Violence Reduction Legislation

Signed into law, The Safer Communities Act that requires enhanced background checks before buying a gun.

Protected Marriage for LGBTQI+ and Interracial Couples:

Signed into law legislation protecting marriage for same-sex and interracial couples.

Advanced full equality for LGBTQI+ Americans by reversing the discriminatory ban on transgender service members in the military, and strengthened non-discrimination protections in health care, housing, education and employment.

Historic Conformations of Appointments

Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown, first Black woman on Supreme Court.

More Black women appointed to U.S. Court of Appeals than any president in history. 

66% of President Biden’s appointees are women, and 65% are people of color.

Executive Order Protecting Reproductive Rights

President Biden signed Executive Orders to protect access to reproductive health care, including abortion & contraception.

Historic Student Debt Relief

Over 40,000,000 borrowers will benefit from financial relief initiative, about 20,000,000 will see their debt entirely wiped out, of which 90% will go to borrowers earning less than $75,000 per year.

Ending the Failed Approach to Marijuana:

President Biden pardoned all prior federal offenses of simple marijuana possession and urged governors to do the same. He is also starting the process to review how marijuana is scheduled under federal law.

Advancing Equity and Racial Justice

President Biden signed an Executive Order directing the federal Government to use every tool available to advance equity and racial justice, by Investing  in communities facing persistent poverty. An executive order was signed mandating the banning of chokeholds, restricting no-knock entries, creating a national police accountability database and restricting the transfer of military equipment to local police departments.

Aggressive Climate Action

Signed Legislation into law to develop clean energy at home

Accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles

Reduce pollution that endangers communities.

President Biden is also committed to protecting more lands & waters.

Historically Low Uninsured Rate of 8%

4 out of 5 People can find coverage on Healthcare.gov for $10 a month or less.  Over 16,000,000 Americans signed up for quality, affordable health coverage, the highest number ever produced in an enrollment period.
